I am trying to export a video out of Final Cut Pro, but constantly receive General Error 49. It does not matter how I export my video, as QuickTime Movie, QuickTime Conversion, through Compressor, I even tried to bring it into Motion, but Motion would never open. I am working off an external hard drive (LaCie) I've tried it over FireWire 400 and 800, but no success. I have also tried exporting to another drive (Western Digital). What is this error and how do I stop it? Thanks all.

What are you system are you using? What version of FCP? Sequence settings and so on

More details would help us give you a better answer.

Can you go frame by frame in your sequence using the arrow keys? I bet not.

Sorry, here is more info. I am using a 2.16 GHz MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.4.11. FCP is version 5.1.4. As far as I can tell, everything is normal in the project. I can scrub, cut, zoom, etc. without a problem. I'm not sure by what you mean by sequence settings. It is just this project that will not export, I have done it successfully with other video. I tried exporting just audio, and got a 'file I/O error'; exporting just the video gave me Error 49 again. Thanks again.
