I'm looking into getting a decent firewire DAW interface and I keep coming back to the Mackie Satellite. Has anyone had any experience with it? Or, if anyone has any strong opinions on any other $200 range USB or firewire units I'd be very interested in feedback!
Most of what I've been finding on different sites are the negatives of all kinds of units, but I assume the people that are happy are busy using their stuff instead of complaining...

all i can say is that mine is fine i bought it from the internet new for lees than #100 with carriage and it works with my cubase 4 perfectly allowing me to have either 6x mono outs or 3xsteroe outs which i find adequate i havnt used it for audio in at all so i cant comment its is easy to install and has the most basic straight forward settings software although i can only get it to work at 44khz with cubase 4 hope this is usefull to summerise for just about the cheapest firewire interface on the market it does what it says on the tin nothing more nothing less
