I cant seem to open IE. It is there, but no icon, not on start menu.
The reason behind this, is a software programme I need relies on IE to register/ open. Think it might be something to do with Set Program Access and Defaults, as always goes back to Custom, and wont let me change to IE.
IE is there, as I tried to reload and it told me the version I have is more recent. Can Parallels be doing something clever to prevent me using IE?
Appreciate someone's help
Thanks in advance

Try bring up the add/remove program window or the "Set program access and defaults" windows (same window, actually). On the left side, there should be an option to add/remove windows components. Click that and make sure "Internet Explorer" is checked.
You can't truly uninstall IE on Windows, but antitrust suits have forced Microsoft to give you the option of making it very difficult to access in a kind of faux-uninstall.
