So I'm trying to create a slideshow that works somewhat like a video with fast sequential still frame images that imply movement. Some of the images I need to move rather quickly--at .5 seconds or sometimes less, and sometimes more. Also, I need the resulting movie to have a enough resolution for projection on a large screen.

I have tried various slideshow programs and then exported the slideshow into imovie and then cut the slides down to the timing I want but I find that the quality of some of the images is compromised in the final product when exported even into the highest size movie.

Iphoto exports only small quicktime movies

idvd automatically creates a black border around the images

I don't have Final cut pro/express

Does anyone have any ideas as to what slideshow programs might work best for this project?
