I've tried to research this topic, but there is so little information, that I just have to ask.
I need to maintain my aging father's iMac from 750 miles away, and to do that, I am having him upgraded to Leopard, so that I can use Screen Sharing via iChat. It would really useful to fix it so I could just request Screen Sharing when I need to, and have my request automatically accepted. I have a similar setup on my Mac for receiving files from a trusted few (clients) without having to be at my computer - thanks to Chax. I can find no similar fix for accepting Screen Sharing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think so. It's probably a security issue (you know that thing about getting into someone's computer without their knowledge
kind of thing . . .).
Unfortunately (or fortunately) you'll have to have the other person authorize you to use the screen sharing feature.

Chax is an additional set of preferences that gets added to the iChat Preferences window. In the latest version, 2.1.1 they have added "Auto-accept Screen Sharing". You can make this choice globally, or for select Buddies. There are many other useful additions in Chax - you should check it out.
