As you probably already know, PT 7.4 is now Leopard compatible. Digidesign didn't need to "wake up." I assure you that they were making sure that they got it right the first time instead of rushing a 10.5 compatible update with known bugs.

I'm sorry, but Pro Tools is a DAW that is really overrated. It does practically anything that a regular, more reasonably priced DAW can do, and you will ultimately end up going broke because of all the stuff you will have to buy anyway to use the RTAS format. Don't even get me started with the TDM crap; it's totally out of reach to most people's budgets anyway.
My advice: Go with Ableton Live. It is the most ingenious DAW around; it is so flexible you can still modify the song while it is playing. You could then use Rewire to plug it into Reason or even Logic Studio or Logic Express. Just stay from Pro Tools altogether; you can have all the stuff you need for a lot less money!

Finally a voice of reason. I agree totally. Overrated, overpriced and overused. Live is a great app and works well with others-unlike ProTools.
