Hi.

My father is a snowbird, going from his Mac Mini in Massachusetts to his eMac in Florida. They both run OS X 10.5, and he has an external HD that he now uses as backup in FL. Is there a way to use Time Machine to synchronize the data on one Mac when he returns to the other after being away for months?

TM recognizes the computers as separate entities. Is there a way to make it think that the backup files from one are also for the other, and just use the Restore function when he returns?

If not, what would you all recommend as [cheap] software to sync all of his personal files when he returns to one of his Macs from the other?
