Avoid Incase products. My leather Incase iPhone folio wore out (stitches came apart) after only 3 months. I submitted a claim through their website with my Applestore sales receipt and a photo of the steel spring clip sticking out through the leather. Got no response from Incase. Repeated my claim 3 times. 2 months later, and I've never heard back from them.

Kudos to Apple ... they swapped out my bad case for a new one even though I was well past the 14 day in-store warranty period.

I don't think I would buy another product from them.

The Cozip case is what I switched to after trying several soft rubber-style cases. Slim lines that make the iPhone look great (love the logo cutout on the back), very nice faintly tacky but velvety smooth texture, solid plastic material so it won't eventually start stretching the way some of the other ones did.

Also, for the face I have the self-adhesive clear plastic protective sheet they sell in the Apple Stores (don't remember the brand, probably doesn't matter, it was sold as a pair in a green cardboard sleeve). The sheets come in both glossy and matte versions - I'd been using glossy but switched to matte on the advice of a Store employee who pointed out that the matte sheet helps considerably with reducing fingerprints, cheek smears, etc. on the front of the phone. Doesn't eliminate them altogether, but helps. The matte version also adds just a tiny bit of tactile friction feedback when you slide your finger across the screen (only noticeable really when compared with a naked phone). I really like that too - YMMV.

The iPod touch version of the Agent 18 case is very different; it uses front and back pieces, a design that's tougher to keep together. (Most front/back hardshell cases I've tested will pop off if they land on a hard surface at the right angle.)

This review was of the iPhone version of the Agent 18 case, which is split top/bottom; it's much more secure. While testing these cases, I dropped each of them many times from varying heights -- onto both soft and hard surfaces -- and the Agent 18 case never popped off.

What about belt clips? As important as the case itself is the means of attaching it to yourself, and if these cases don't offer belt-clip attachments or other means of securing themselves to the user, then I'd have little interest in them.

I just got a nice horz. leather case with belt clip thats large enough for iPhone with its hard case on. Gives you double protection when it's in the leather case. I got the SwitchEasy and a $16 leather case from PC Micro months ago by the way and love it.

I have the white SWICHEASY CAPSULE case. Its already paid for itself many times over. You see, in the 6 months i've owned my iphone i had never dropped it. Until recently.It fell off my lap while i was getting off a SUV. Happy to say my iphone survived with no dents.Thanks to the CAPSULE case. Only reminder of the incident are some minor scratches on the CAPSULE case itself. Its a value buy for sure.

I got one last month and it paid for itself 3 times already when I drooped my iPhone on it screen... this is something you cant get with incase or other cases above... check them out.

I had an aluminum one that worked quite well. I dropped it a few times and my phone was fine. I recently got a great clear case from www.iphonedownloadworld.com and this is really nice. It's a lot lighter that the aluminum one, but not as rugged.
