This would be HUGE! Our company is locked in to Excel (for some odd reason) so I don't just need to read my spreadsheets on my iPhone, I need to work with them. Syncing will be the big question though. Good luck Mariner.

32,000 columns... Excel (and Numbers) can't even do that, and it's been a huge headache at work. Now I can get my boss to buy me an iPhone 3G so I can edit these files :)

You say that IPhone allows us to view Excel and Word Files... Could you tell me how it does?? I have been looking for it since the very first day... Every PDA makes it possible except our good old Apple...

You can already edit spreadsheets on the iPhone. http://www.savysoda.com/iSpreadsheet for details.

Re: savysoda spreadsheet post

I have downloaded Doc2 for my iphone & have played around with google docs. Not only do they not hold format during transfer, both are very limited in capability, especially the savysoda Doc2 app for the iphone. Simple tasks like inserting cells or centering text are impossible, or so it seems. I decided not to download the pricier "office suite" until I had a chance to play around with the less expensive version. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!! If the Mariner app can hold Excel format, allow editing, and download a file from email to be edited... This would be as amazing as say... A BLACKBERRY or several other good phones on the market. Apple and its host of applications are wonderful for general entertainment, but prove to be of very little use in the business forum. Looking forward to my new phone!!!
