Hi,
I want to post photos on a forum elsewhere but the file size is too large. Mine for instance is 852 kb while the max allowed at the site is 100 kb.
How do I do this?

The best program to reduce the size of JPEG files is Graphic Converter. Just open the JPEG, then save as, and you will get a menu that will allow you to control the quality. It is amazing how small you can get them using the resolution, size and JPEG quality. 10, 20 or 30 times smaller sometimes with no real degradation (depending on your end goals). I wish Photoshop and other programs were this good at optimizing file size.Graphic Converter

You can also use the built in "preview" program in OSX. Just click on your photo to bring it up in preview, go to "save as", and lower the quality level to the size you want. Until you get the size you want, you might change the name from the original (like from photo to photo1)
