Hi everyone,
I have a site hosted at xrackhosting.com, but recently, there doesn't seem to be anyone there. I can't find out how to contact them. Emails go unanswered. No phone number on the site. Even the front page is gone, after I sent them an email a week ago pointing out that the front page had said "X2 coming in 42 days" for well over two months. Now, there's just no front page.
Does anyone know what's going on with them? How do I find them?
Thanks,
Z

QuietusPrime,
Thanks for the info. I was in the middle of a move (Moscow to Geneva) so I only got to it today.
The phone number is disconnected. :(
Will try to hunt down Bill Leonard, though.
They had a problem a few years ago due to Hurricane Something, maybe they got wiped out? But, the servers must be in Bombay or something..
Very weird....

I have a site hosted there also, it went down Thanksgiving weekend along with the whole xrackhosting domain.
I had a similar problem in July and contacted xrackhosting@mac.com , and received a response from Ben, who I'd dealt with before. It took a few days for them to get their server restored, and I asked if there was some sort of business reorganization going on. Ben said he would fill me in later (never happened). Then in August my email stopped functioning. I wrote repeatedly for assistance, but never received a response.
Now that my domain went down in November, I've tried several times to contact Ben, but there's no response.
My impression is that xrackhosting has been running as a ghost ship since summer 2008. I'd be happy if they proved me wrong, but at this point I am looking at other ISP's to switch to. It's too bad, I did like the idea of supporting a Mac based ISP.
If anybody's had any luck contacting xrackhosting lately, I'd be interested to hear about it.
Thanks,
KEN
