Hi,

I've just purchased an HP C4380 printer to go with my new Intel iMac. I believed the printer could work wirelessly using Bluetooth. Unfortunately the printer needs either a wireless network or what's known as an Ad-Hoc network.

As I don't have a wireless router and am not exactly a technical wizz I was wondering if anybody could help me set up this Ad-Hoc network?

Cheers,

Steve.

I have a similar problem. I am installed that printer in my work truck along with a wireless router so that I can print a customers invoice wirelessly from my MacBook. I need a better way to connect to it, because when I kill the power overnight so that my van battery doesn't die, it loses the network settings. I'm not familiar with ad hoc either so please let me know what you find, and I'll do the same.

Unfortunately unless your printer has wifi within in itself you need a wireless router to print wirelessly.
