Hi
I’m from Mexico. I have recently bought an Apple iMac with Mac OS X Leopard.
I configured the keyboard with the Spanish layout. The problem is that
special characters like @, parentheses, ampersand, etc do not match
with the keys in the keyboard.
For example, the keyboard has the @ with the “2” key but, in order to type an “@” I have to press “alt” and “G” key.
Could anyone help me to configure my keyboard properly?
Thanks in advance

Your best bet is to set up your keyboard for Spanish AND English. Go to System Preferences->International and in the tab "Languages" select Spanish and English, then in the tab "Input Menu" check Spanish and U.S. and Keyboard Viewer. Also check "Show input menu in menu bar." When you close International you'll see a Spanish or U.S. Flag in the menu bar. You can switch between languages by cmd-spacebar. You actually can set up as many languages as you wish. Clicking on the flag will show you your options. If you click on "Show keyboard viewer," you'll see the keyboard of the language you've selected. The U.S. keyboard has @ above the 2. IHTH.
