Ok, for the second time within a week, my Intel iMac did not wake from sleep mode. I put the computer to sleep. Moving the mouse, clicking the mouse, and hitting keys did not wake it. Even pushing the power button. I had to hold the power button down for several seconds and then pushed it again and it restarted as if it were off.
When it first happened, I thought that maybe I accidentally shut it down, but I clearly scrolled down to sleep. Is this a normal "bug" or is my iMac acting funky?
Thank you

-Hi,
Well, you are not alone on this issue w/ any model iMac. We have an iMac G5 and sometimes we go to use it and its like somebody has done a Shut Down. Other folks w/in our MUG (Mac User Group) have the same deal w/ all models of iMacs. The answer: we don't know. We tried different surge protectors and different electrical outlets that are NOT on the same circuit load breakers. Doesn't seem to matter if the HD is set to 'never' sleep and display to sleep 15--25 minutes. And different variations w/in the Energy Saver for sleep. Sorry, but not the answer you're looking for I'm sure. :_|

-Hi,
You are welcome. Just a side note. Many folks w/ different iMac models thought at first it was from getting too hot (over heat) That was proven wrong under very cold conditions. Apple is aware of the issue but can't find a fix-all for all models.
If there is a fix for the Intel iMacs I'll post back what I run across....and I'm sure other members might add to the issue on the iMac.
