I have a G4 runnning 10.4 and a G5 running 10.5 both connected to an airport running 802.1n . The G5 is on ethernet the G4 wireless. I have a cable modem and both run perfectly with no problems, however I cannot get either computer to recognize the other on the network. When I use GO , Connect to server,Browse, my G5 will never see my G4 on the network and vice versa. Both computers are set to file share and printer share. The G4 is able to print on an HP printer on ethernet connected to the airport. This puzzles me because before when I had both computers just on ethernet with my linksys router they would both just automatically find each other on the network. Any Ideas.
Thanks all.
Bob

Are you sure your Server Addresses are correct when you use the GO function? If not, change them and see if that works,

Yes. I'm basically running a router behind a router. It's cable modem>4 port linksys>airport>computers like I had described earlier. I had read something somewhere that had led me to think this was ok and that it may provide added security although I can't remember when or what it was exactly.

Hi
So...Make sure I'm getting this correctly.

Cable modem-->Linksys ( wired ) router-->Airport Extreme Base Station-->To computers

One question I have in relation to your comment about it working when both were connected wired. Do you connect all wired machines to the Linksys and all wireless to the Airport? If so, that is your problem. However, I may have a fix anyway if my above understand is correct....
