On the morning of the 12th, I installed the 2.0 update flawlessly on my wife's phone (on a mac using OS 10.5.4). At the time, I was not aware of all the problems people were having, dumb luck you may call it. My phone, on the other hand, was the nightmare about which you read in these posts. Nothing but error messages and update failures all day. After reading through the posts and working with the software I realized that only one thing would solve the problem, patience. Wait for the servers to catch up with the hoards of people trying to do the same thing we are all trying to do. Low and behold, early this evening, my phone updated perfectly and MobileMe started functioning beautifully. Apple has it together, always have. Hang in there just a little longer!

I dl'd on the 11th. My phone was bricked all day until i got back home from work. Then i hear that the first version of 2.0 has all these glitches. it does. my phone crashed about 4 or 5 times yesterday (the 12th). something is also draining the battery and i can't figure out what. i have it set to manual push to save battery life but it still gets emails every hour. this is bullcrap.

Ok...so now we have iphone 2.0...I have one question. Why aren't we on the G3 network as well??
Is it a chip thing or what? I put my sim card from my iphone into my Sony Z750a and I am on the 3G network...again I am feeling slighted by Apple I mean it was bad enough being one of the ones to Pay $600 for this thing in the beginning only to get a hundred dollar rebate and now no G3?? Time for a new phone...not an iphone.

So here's the thing: you remember the first name of a contact at a business and search for it on iPhone's 2.0 OS. You can't find it! Why? Because the iPhone's software searches ONLY the primary field of a contact (business or last name) and then only in sequence from the first character on. How chuckleheaded is that?! "Search" is essentially a quick scroll, nothing more.
How about a global search of all the fields? How about a search of partial information in all fields? How about asking what users need instead of what Steve wants?
