Mabye they should have considered the type of control that Bomberman for the iPod uses. I found it relatively easy to learn, once I figured it out, it's become quite natural.

yes the old patterns work... they did a great job of porting. I had no problem using Swipe for the controls, and I think they did a great job on the game.

I'm tempted to pick up Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man in spite of the price, but I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet. On the one hand, $10 is a lot for a single classic game, but on the other hand these are pretty timeless games that are always good for... killing time.
I had been thinking they should have released a "Namco Collection", but I don't know if other games, ones that had joystick and buttons, would play so well on the iPhone. They should have made a Pac-Man collection, though, with Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and perhaps other variants on there. That would be worth $10 definitely.

I agree that $10 is overprices, however, I found the swipe-controls the best I've used yet on the iPhone for games and have not had a single problem controlling my little yellow guy. If only the NES emulator would implement a controller like this, it might actually be worth the hassle

If you're torn between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, my advice is to go with Ms. Pac-Man. I think the gameplay is better, for some reason. Besides, I like the interstitial bits. :D
