One golf app that was not mentioned was Plum Caddy. Plum Caddy is entering beta for v2.0. Alongside the release of v2.0 will be the Plum Clubhouse. The Plum Clubhouse will allow you to create your favorite course (only one person has to create it, then its available to all in the Clubhouse). Once created, you will be able to download it to your phone. The courses downloaded will be exact renderings of the course itself, as if you had bought the course guide book. You will be able to get instant range and distance calculations (no GPS antenna required). I am with Plum Amazing, so I will leave the judgement to you all. However, we are looking for beta testers of both the application, as well as the Plum Clubhouse. If you are interested, please send an email with your golf experience (we are wanting all ranges of experience) to julian at plumamazing.com .

Plum Caddy was "left out" because it didn't exist at the time I did the first round-up. I have a second round-up in the works, as there are now like seven additional golf-related programs, and Plum Caddy will be one of the programs I take a look at. (Note that not every program I look at necessarily gets reviewed.)

Pasturepool Golf is the best I've used so far... I also bought Teeshot and I still say Pasturepool Golf is the best. It offers the most so far for the money. I could add my courses easily and sync them... They have a lot of stuff to offer on their site too...

my vote goes to golfshot - not the cheapest, but is just a one-time charge (no fees every year like some). great interface and stats which you can get on your phone or computer too. airvue isnt a bad option also to save some $. there is a website critical golf that has pretty thorough reviews (http://criticalgolf.com), but they only review ones that have everything pre-mapped if that matters.
they are all better options then spending like $500 on a gps device
