So need a new battery for my Macbook. I've had it a little over two years. Roughly between 350-400 cycles on it. No major problems with it other than the charge lasting less than an hour now.

I look at the Apple product page for the Macbook battery and people seem to hate it. A lot of reported problems. Issues abound.

I did some searching and found FastMac and their batteries, but I get similiar iffy results. Some people love 'em, some people hate 'em.

I get a discount on stuff bought from Apple, so the price difference between Apple and FastMac on the battery is negligible.

If you were in my shoes, which way would you go?

Get an apple, I've had mine for a year and ten days and it is amazing, i love it. With an apple you know it is good, it was designed by the guys that made the laptop and it is sold by the guys that sold you the notebook. The apple MacBook battery is the best out there, buy the Apple.

Generally speaking, most of the people complaining have wildly unrealistic expectations of how long a lithium ion battery is going to last. I personally have always had good luck with the Apple batteries.
