Occasionally, a key (any key) on my keyboard will repeat... a la kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk or space space space or
delete delete delete
...like that, even while I remove my hands from the keyboard!
Seems to be, the only way I may stop it is to press, either shift or return (I never seem to remember which, or whether it's a timely combination of both...)

Is this a hardware problem, or a dust doodle in the keyboard, or some fat-fingered thing I'm doing, or...what?

Very, very annoying, and a hint would be very much appreciated!

try cleaning the keyboard, there are a lot of ways to do that, check apple's site.
