Hello,
I'm having the same reoccurring problem every time I activate iPhoto. I get a message window that says "82 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that were not imported, and would you like to import them?"

These photos are in the Library and in iPhoto. If I select yes then I get a message that say something to the extent they can't be imported because of a non readable problem. If I select no, then a folder and the photos are developed in the picture files titled recovered photos in Finder/Pictures....this happens every time I start iPhoto. How do I get rid of this reoccurring problem that is starting to bother me.

Thanks for any assistance or input you may have, or please direct me to an area where I might be able to find a fix.

You probably imported pictures from something like a flash drive or portable HD, sometimes there are files that get imported with the photos that are not photos, so they get put in the iPhoto folder, but are not in the iPhoto library, because iPhoto cannot read that type of files. I had this problem when I imported files from a windows machine, through a USB flash drive, I had to go into the iPhoto library folders (all 10 million of them), find the files, and delete them manually by dragging them to the trash.

Open the iPhoto Library package and look for a folder named "Import" or "Importing", something with import in the title. Move it to the desktop and launch iPhoto again. That should get rid of the message. You can check the contents of that "Import" folder and, if there are photos in there you want, import the folder from the desktop.

While you're in the library package do not rename or move any other item.
