getting home video to ipod

Hi,

I am not as savvy as I could be with computer and gadget tech, so this may be a no brainer. I am in the performing arts and would love to put rehearsal video on my ipod touch. It seems the only option for footage is what is downloadable from ivideo. Won't serve my purpose at all. Is there a way to upload my footage onto my MacBook Pro and get it to the ipod?

I have access to a classic as well, but the touch is currently designated for work.
