"The iPhone 3G will be available for free to Singaporean customers who sign a two-year contract that costs S$205 (US$145) per month, including 1,500 minutes of outgoing talk time and 3GB of data access."
$145 per month without visual voicemail, iTunes music and iTunes movies? Oh goody! :P

“It may work but you may not enjoy the same iPhone experience as SingTel only supports iPhone 3G devices that are connected to SingTel’s network,” the operator said
This is half truth. We made a call to Singtel yesterday on the above issue and what the personel who spoke to us over the telephone, the 3G iphone is SIM LOCKED. Which means if you sign up a new contract or a upgrade your current Singtel Mobile account to any of the promotion for iphone, the phone will be lock upon activation purchase from any Hello! shops. Also means, the phone can not be transfer to another Singtel mobile account. We ask if we sign up a new line for iphone and give it to our wife or kid whom also a Singtel user, the phone will be locked. So, don't be fool by the statement made by the website's FAQ. Phone may be affordable and good, it's plan kills your pocket. Think again.....

Not only that, the plans are way overpriced compared to even Rogers' plans, and they released the pricing extremely late on purpose to avoid the backlash that Roger got from Canadians.
Furthermore, some of their terms and conditions for the iPhone are ambiguous, for example their mobile data plan policy. A more detailed analysis has been done at my site MacRyu.com at http://macryu.com/si...freaking-idiots

So is it $205 per month or $56 per month? Confusing.
$205 per month for 2 years + $4,920!!!... that's f'n ridiculous.
Also, I can use iTunes in Singapore, why do you need a "Singaporean" version of iTunes? I guess you just need a foreign credit card to buy music and movies.
I was looking forward to getting an iPhone, but anyone who pays this much for the iPhone is a Sucker with a capital "S"... but if know Singaporean "kiasu" they'll be lined up around the block.
I'll just have to wait for Starhub to make their offer in 3 months time.

Just want to add, that Singapore isn't the only place/country which have iPhone, but no Visual Voice mail, although we do have iTunes, but it's iTunes without ringetones, movie and TV shows :( (the last part, I really hope that Apple is working on that one, would love to rent movies via my AppleTV) And it's not only Denmark (where I am) it's also Sweden, Norway)
