I use PhoneView on the iPod Touch just to "sync" notes between the iPod and mac. It just works!

Should be able to accomplish this by taking a screen shot (home & sleep/wake) and email to your self.

That works as long as the text messages don't exceed the length of the screen. If they do, you'd have to take multiple shots to capture the conversation.

In that case, just copy and paste all into an email? Oops, let me take that back!

Snapshots & emails are a kluge! I write long notes on my mac and transfer them to the iPT. Sure I can email myself notes but the notes are often things I want stored in Notes, not in emails.

Good point, but the original poster wanted a way to print text messages. I think we all resort to kluges and workarounds when available functionality does meet our needs, if we cannot change the system we find ways to make it work for us, albeit sometimes using kludgey methods.

Perhaps in S/W V2.1.X we may see these things being implemented. Apple is a master of finding out what we want and providing it, and then changing it as we evolve our use.

Not everyone uses SMS to send inanities. Some folks use it for business, and having the ability to print those texts is valuable.
