Think about it from Pandora's perspective; why wouldn't they want you to listen from anywhere? The only reason would be money.

Their terms of service say, "Thanks to the way our music licensing works, you have to live in the
United States to use Pandora. You also have to be at least 13 years
old. Pandora can only be used if you are in the United States." I don't know how they verify this, but it's pretty clear that you have to be physically in the United States to listen to their service. Perhaps they can't afford the license for international listening?

Whatever the international listening issue is, they say they're already skating on thin financial ice as it is. So we may not have a choice in a year or two.

Read the recent Washington Post article here.

Tuner sucks for me. All i can get is hiphop rock and all to plentiful to use maisteam stations . Don`t waist your money. Speaking of money why in the hell can`t you say sorry i really want my money back?

Please everyone ignore what this poster says

maybe he/she wrote the code for one of the other apps or something - but for whatever reason the post is utter rubbish

I have Tuner and the streams I use from it are Jazz, electro, eclectic, classical and retro - every style of music you could ever want is there - which is why I like it so much

@wardoggie
Seems a little unfair the way Pandora Radio is being treated here. Afterall, the app is FREE.
By the way, the link you provided, i.e., http://www.washingto...ml?hpid=topnews,
is a must read. Perhaps, an apology by some, is in order.

I think the ASCAP etc. licensing terms restrict Pandora to USA only. However that's just for Pandora's licensing small print - they have no way to know where you are when you are listening (if paranoid, turn off Location Services). Also these "aggregator" style iPhone radio apps seem to have lots of trouble with buffer delays.
The Toy Lounge of St. Paul MN - http://thetoylounge.com/radio - makes standalone iPhone apps for radio stations. Pretty basic if the station already has an MP3 stream, sorry but Windows streaming will not work on these apps (Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates).
