I have a new iMac with the glossy screen. What is the best way to clean the glossy screen. I have tried two different electronic cleaning wipes (multi-surface) but both leave a hazy residue on the screen. My intuition tells me to try Windex pre-moistened wipes that are marketed not to leave a residue or streak. These contain ammonia which may be too harsh, but maybe not if the glass does not have an exterior coating.

As the glossy screens are made of glass you need to use a glass cleaner and a lint-free (microfiber) cloth. I use iKleer, which you can buy at any Apple Store, for cleaning my Cinema Display. It also works other things around the house like mirrors, my glasses, etc.

mdawson's suggestion is a good one -- but if there doesn't happen to be an Apple Store nearby, then another place where you can find decent glass cleaning kits is your nearest optical store (Hour Eyes, For Eyes, Lenscrafters... whichever happens to be the most convenient).
