Congrates Jason. I finished a couple of days ago. I would never had known that NaNoWriMo existed if wasn't for your column. Thanks again for introducing me to this crazy writing experience.

Hi Jason,

Congratulations on winning! My wife took and won the challenge as well, using Pages, and a MacBook Pro. SInce she was writing a novel, I thought I would try a different approach. I had to do a talk on how to make a slideshow and put it on a DVD, using iPhoto, and iDVD for our Mac Users Group in Kelowna,BC OKMug.ca So I made my own challenge, not for 50,000 words but to make easy-to-follow steps using a lot fewer words. With the challenge pressing me onward, I was able get it pretty well completed and put it on a website. www.hughsmac.com. (I had to have it done by the 25th.) O course there is room for improvement, just as with the first draft of a novel, and I want to add lots more topics.

One person titled her email to meabout it "Better than any book", another sent the welcome page to his son who said "It is focussed, brief and very understandable".

So thank you NaNoWriMo, and thank you Jason.

Cheers,
Hugh

Looking forward to this years event!

Exuberant Imperfection allows you to circumvent those limiting feelings entirely...In the context of novel writing , this means you should lower the bar from "Best Seller" to " Would not make someone vomit."
