For about the past week or two, my G4 iBook (about three years old) has gone temperamental on me:

1) Sometimes it won't take a screen shot (pic of screen = shift, command, 3). Sometimes it works fine.

2) It seems to have stopped giving me a sound alert when a new email arrives. Very annoying!

3) And it doesn't make that "swoosh"sound when I send an email! Mildly annoying!

So what's it up to?? Any way to fix these?

Have you tried resetting the PRAM settings? Restart and hold down the opt-command-P-R keys simultaneoisly until the startup chime sounds three times -- then let it start up completely. That might help.

Thanks! I'll try that, but I always seem to have have trouble trying to get all those keys at once, LOL! (The P and the R are too far apart!)
