Hi
My library consists of AAC songs ( purchased and ripped from my own discs ) @ either 128 or 256Kbps. All ripped is 256 and purchased is either. Using iTunes 8. Anywho... Haven't had a need to before but I wanted to make some MP3 discs for the car. Well...I thought iTunes would just convert my songs first and than burn them. Apparently not. Apple doesn't allow it. OK...Maybe they are worried about piracy but I've read 100s of tipsters just advise those to burn them using regular audio CDs and rerip. How is in MP3 CD easier to pirate for those that want to? Seriously Apple. No one's perfect but Jebus Cripes. Any reasonable workarounds on this?

Dunno if you noticed, Cheetah, but you can only make MP3 CDs from music
that is stored in MP3 format in your library.
You'd have to convert your AACs to MP3s and load them into iTunes with
slightly different names (TrackName MP3 perhaps), then burn an MP3 CD.
Hope this helps.

I agree. iTunes is perfectly happy to convert the MP3s in my library to
the AIFFs (or so Finder would have us believe) in standard audio CDs.
But vice is not versa.
I shrug it off. It was a programming decision. If I want to use someone
else's program, I have to put up with the programer.
