I hope they also fixed some bugs. For me, often the CD art does not change as I stop one track and start another. Very unsatisfying.
Also, my wireless router seems to frequently jam & has to be reset... but that may be my Actiontec router from Verizon FIOS.

get an airport extreme.... i turned off the wireless function of my actiontec provided by fios and use an airport extreme (set it up to join an existing network) and it works flawlessly. i also have an express and appletv hooked up wirelessly and the remote works great with everything.

The Westell DSL modem/WiFi router that Verizon provided us for our DSL service works flawlessly too, so I think it must just be your "Actiontec" router that is troublesome. Setup, if you want to enable security and such, is no where in the same league as the Apple offering, indeed, poorly designed, but it was free.

I would like to see the Remote App be able to access AppleTV such that I can browse and select movies, etc that are set to stream to it from my Mac (that hosts most of my movie collection).
Ditto. It's basically a useless app for me in its current form.

I'm looking for a different kind of remote functionality. Does it exist?
I want to be able to set up my Dad (in the nursing home) with music player that we can fill with music he likes (especially the hundreds of home-recorded pieces that members of our family have gathered over the years).
What technology lets us manage the library and add pieces from remote locations?
What technology is available to let him (or Mom or the staff) choose albums and/or playlists to shuffle through?
