Macworld Forums: Can't delete recurring iCal event - Macworld Forums

I can't delete or modify a recurring event in iCal. When I try to delete it all I get is the whirling rainbow ball. Then I have to force quit. I've tried restarting and deleting com. apple.ical.plist with no change. I've also noticed that the calendar has slowed down when I try to switch months. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, and couldn't find a fix that made sense online. Then I noticed that when you right-click on the event, there's an option called "Stop Recurrence". I selected that, then "Cut" (deleted) the event. I hope it works for you.
