ok so i got an ibook g3 from the pawn shop and i dont know the admin password. i was reading online that you can hit controll s and go in thru there with the right codes? the disk drive will not open so i cant put in the restore disk and fix it that way so if anyone knows how to get in with out the disk it would help me out a lot.im planning on using the computer for college and my classes already started so im stuck with my antient desktop for the time being and i need to get it our of here so i can have some more space haha.

Well that's one reason to not buy from a pawn shop...
I don't know of any other way to reset the pw except with the restore disc. I'm not familiar with the old G3s, but I'm assuming these were pre-slot loading drive era. So there should be some sort of an emergency eject option. Using that you should be able to get the disc in . . . But, if the drive doesn't open, there's a good chance it doesn't work and you may be out of luck.
