HELLLLP!



Argh.



I have to capture footage for a project a shot on my newly acquired Canon vixia hv 30. however, my FCP v 5.1.4 won't recognize it as a deck!!!! Ahhhh!!! are they even compatible????? I'm so pissed. I thought it was just the cable. But I hava an extra firewire but still didn't work.



I've changed A/V settings accordingly:

sequence preset: HDV 1080i60

capture preset: HDV

Device control preset: HDV firewire





checked my camera settings:

av->dv: off

playback: auto

comp. out: 1080i

dvoutput: hdv/dv



what am i doing wrong??? am i missing anything??



I WOULD BE TRULY INDEBTED IF I SOME GENIUS SHED LIGHT ON THIS.
