I purchased the pro version after 1 hour with the free.
Well crafted app, good feature set and good integration with the desktop client.
Another reason to purchase pro: As acknowledgment to the developer for producing such a well crafted app and for generously producing a "free" version that stands alone and let's you really get a feel for the app. He could have easily produced a "lame" free version but chose to instead trust the user community to do the right thing. If we as users reward developers of quality apps and "vote with or dollars" perhaps we'll get more instapapers and far fewer "lighter/days until/insert latest crapy app here" applications.
R
P.S. If anyone from Apple reads this please, for the love of God ban the developer who is producing all those "days until" apps!!! It's an embarasment to the all store and to humanity!

Instapaper isn't just useful for saving Web pages from your desktop to read on your iPhone. It's also useful when you find a Web page on your iPhone that you want to save and perhaps access later on your desktop. In other words, the bookmarklet also works in Safari Mobile.
If only Instapaper Pro provides a link to the original article, that makes it worth the price of admission because as Ben noted sometimes pages don't download. With the link, you can click and read it in Safari Mobile.
