Funny you should mention that it's Acrobat 9 Pro is rock-solid dependable... the second document I worked with caused Acrobat to crash. There was one page of a scanned PDF that it just didn't like to OCR. Every time I tried, Acrobat quit "unexpectedly." I sent the offending page to Adobe, of course, and haven't had other problems.

Funny you should mention that Acrobat 9 Pro's interface is "very Mac-like." I've never seen a Mac menu bar like this, except in Microsoft Word 2008.

Acrobat 9 (Reader) and Acrobat 9 Pro won't work if your home folder is on a networked volume. Your home folder needs to be on the volume where Acrobat 9 is installed to work. I had to uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 and go back to Acrobat 8 Pro. Not ready for use in a networked office!

I have been using version e9 for a few weeks now and I have been creating forms from indesign files exported to pdf.
On the forms side there are a few good things that make the process quicker when doing it by hand.
I agree with the other comments that the interface is not mac like and it is more like office 2008.
Adobe do us a disservice when compared to the pc version which has all the bells and whistles.
It does seem more stable but then I can't be sure as v8 I used on an old g5 and now I'm using a MBP.

I have Acrobat Pro 8 and have been trying to find a reason to upgrade...I'm still looking. I tried to look at the sample doc, it wouldn't load correctly. I get tired of always having to deal with updated file types. If there is a compelling reason to change-great! Most of the time it seems like it just a way to force you to buy again.
My distain for Adobe is starting to approach that of Microsoft. If you are going to offer cross platform products then make them equal.
