Another great iPhone app. If you're interested, you can read about my experiences with many of the web and native apps I've used since my original iPhone and more recent iPhone 3G purchases on my blog at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com Just click on the index for a complete listing. John

I took your advice and got Wurdle (the flexible layout was preferable for me - doing word games in foreign languages needs some flexibility). Maybe I will get Quordy as well... (damn, I am so running out of my 16 Gigs, Apple we need Hardware!)
One app IMHO missing from the "less traditional" list is Imangi (see http://www.imangistudios.com) - it is maybe the most challenging of the bunch and great programming too.

Jason, thanks for the kind words about Wordabble. But what a bummer -- you wrote this review the day before Apple approved the newest version of Wordabble that added a drag interface for selecting words! I hope you might consider taking a look at the game again. I'd love to know how it compares to the competition in its current state.

Hey, Check out the new word game 'WordsWorth' on the APp Store. It is quiet different from Wurdle and other word games.

I wanted to add another game to your list that people may like: "Word Popper"
http://itunes.apple....=301899891&mt=8
It has a faster game-play then some of the others and includes an online feature as well. It's free today but $1.99 tomorrow.

Another game to the family: Lost Words
http://itunes.apple....=309161474&mt=8
Main focus is to offer smooth gameplay and fast startup. It has also active development and lots of new features are planned in future updates.

I have now played all the boggle type applications and Shake & Spell is the only one that you can play with other players in real time. It is by far the best of the bunch!
