Since I mostly listen to podcasts, this new and completely played are completely annoying. I wish there as a way in which I could just skip or mark for deletion any podcast I wish, but more simply than fast forwarding to the very end and listening to it, ugh.

Sure you can. Rate the episodes you don't like as 1 star. Delete all the 1 star podcasts at your leisure. To make it easy to find them, you'll have to create a 1 star smart playlist or sort by rating in iTunes. Do the same for any music.

How do I set the rating of a podcast I don't like on my iPod?

Which one?

most iPods: click center button until you see five circles. Use the scrollwheel to adjust rating. At least that's the old way of doing it. Does the new software work the same way?

iPhone/touch: (portrait mode) click on the upper right symbol (three lines with three dots), then touch the circles to adjust star rating.

shuffle: uh... good luck on that one.

Use Mediafly.com's iTunes via RSS delivery method. You can set your selection preferences in iTunes which will only put episodes in the feed which are "fresh" as you define it.
