Word doc formatting from Mac to Dreamweaver on a PC

Hi! I've been having issues with word documents created on a
Mac and transferred to my PC's Dreamweaver application. When I copy & paste,
all em-dashes transfer as question marks, and all the paragraph formatting
disappears. I have no problem viewing the document, all formatting is there,
only when I copy & paste it into Dreamweaver those two elements disappear. Any thoughts?
