I went for LifeCast as it was free and I only wanted to post to Blogger. It allows me to post photos and geo-locate posts and is handy for composing thoughts on the go. If it needs any fine-tuning, I can do it via my laptop later.

@sheilanolan Thanks for the LifeCast suggestion. I hadn't tried that one out yet.

Another good app that didn't come up in the search results for the "several options" link is LiveJournal.app. It only supports LiveJournal, but it's free and has a host of great features (including geolocation support, photo posting support, and saving your entry that you were hard at work on when a call comes in). If you have an LJ, it's the best app for posting from the iphone/ipod touch. It supports all LJ post options as well as the LJ messaging system, allowing you to stay in touch with your blog friends more easily. And hey, the links to google maps with your location when you post your entry are just neat (can be turned off for the paranoid).

I recently downloaded the Wordpress app that is free because I do a lot of blogging for a gaming site, loot-ninja.com. The application is very simple and effective but due to limitations of the iPod/iPhone I am unable to actually do an entire post because I can't copy and paste text or effectively add photos to the article. It's not bad just for writing the actual content though.

The Typepad application seems to allow you to set the Category, but it doesn't really work. When you choose that function, you get an empty list to choose from.
It's great for making new posts, but doesn't have any functionality to let you manage your posts. To do that, you need to use the web-based interface.

I use the "Tumble" iPhone app to post to my tumblr blog http://benandjacq.tumblr.com and have found it to be useful, but at times the tumblr page in mobile safari works just fine.

My problem with any of these applications is that they don't work with those blogging sites that I use as a Realtor. There is Real Estate Tomato, Active Rain and blogs I have on my personal website, at Realtor.com and at ColdwellBanker.com.
What would be great is if I could set up an application on both my iPhone and on my Mac that with one posting distributes that post and any photos and GPS location, if desired, to all of my posts. I simply provide my sign in data for each blogging site and select the title of the post and then let the application do all the grunt work behind the scenes. It's kind of like installing a program on the iPhone or inside iPhoto that can sign in and post photos to my Flickr account.
Does anyone know of a program that will do this on the iPhone, a Mac or both?
Thanks
