Background images in Word... Having such great success in Pages with high quality background images, we're flummoxed about using them in Word 2004. Anything we place - even high quality PDFs - comes out badly blurred. Is there a trick to this?

FYI: you can also press command option F to insert a footnote in Word 2004 (not sure about 2008, but I would assume it's the same).

"If you want your audience to focus on a particular bullet point at a particular time, try this trick: in Pages or PowerPoint, use the Copy (command-C) and Paste (command-P) commands to make two copies of the slide (so you have a total of three)."
I think you mean Command-V for paste

For repetitive items Typeit4Me has been around for a long time. You can scan your signature, copy it into Typeit4Me and it's there to paste anywhere you want it. It is also useful for frequently mispelled words like wiht, just copy with into Typeit4Me and attach the alias wiht and it will spell it correctly everytime you type it wrong. Similarly you can copy your email or street address or any other word or combination of words into Typeit4Me and they are always available to past anywhere in word, excell, email etc
