I hope you guys do a step by step on how to do this to my ATV. Create and install a USB patchstick that is. I would also look forward to getting Boxee on my ATV.....

Not to be nit-picky but why couldn't Apple have included a power switch. I, and I'm sure many other users have ATV in an AV unit and when you combine that with the fact that the cord is ridiculously stubborn to pull-out and reinsert makes for a pain-in-the-butt situation.
I'd even be open to the interpretive dance to restart if that would work. It'd certainly be easier than what I have to do now and would be worth the few seconds of humiliation.
