Trying to capture video through a mixed FW daisy chain?

In light of the new Macbook Pro no FW400 debate, here is a practicle question:

If I have a firewire 400 device(DV camcorder) and several FW800 harddrives. Can I run all of them through the same chain into one FW800 port on the new MBP? And if so, is there any problems capturing video.
