My MBP has been running really hot lately. I bought it new at the end of June. I know people have mentioned downloading programs to control the fan speed. is that the best option for me? I havent heard the fan kick on as much as I did when i first bought it so I think the fan is the problem...? I am not extremely comfortable messing with complicated settings for the fan that could potentially ruin my MBP, so something that would be a simple fix would be very helpful... Thanks in advance

I would probably take it to a genus at an Apple Store.
You spent way to much $$ to take a chance here.
I don't have a MB P, rather just a MB , but doesn't sound right too me.
Are you doing any intensive video processing or any processing in general when you notice the surge in heat?
