Hello

My goal is to copy the tags from .mp3 / .aac music files to the tags of .alac files of the same song. I have searched/browsed through Doug's Applescripts and other places with no luck.

Specifically:
song1.mp3 is already tagged with all the relevant info exactly how I like it
song1.m4a is a fresh CD rip into ALAC, for which I want all the metadata exactly how I like it

Unsurprisingly, I do not want to retype or copy-&-paste the tag info for my thousands of songs. So... I wonder if it is possible to run a script that pulls tags from music files in a source album folder (or an album within the iTunes interface) and replace the tags of a different folder of music files (perhaps by using the track # tag as a guide). Has any person done such a thing?

I thank you for reading!

p.s. Any chance that play count and ratings may be carried over too?
