Itune reset?

I am a new Mac user and I was wondering is if there is a way to reset my Itune and delete everything I have in it? I try to import some songs and in the process made several copies of them....please tell me there is a way I can clean it up!

If it's duplicates you're concerned about, go to the File Menu when iTunes is opened and choose Show Duplicates, You are then presented with an easy way to delete what you want to.
