In the US, a 401k is a retirement plan (guarded against the tax man) where you put aside part of your salary each month, invested on certain stocks in the hopes you have a nice nest egg when the time comes. Black Friday got its name on the assumption that many businesses are in the red until this time, the biggest shopping day of the year. Why 3am? Use to be 6am. Maybe next year it will be a minute after midnight.

"Black Friday" is a stupid name based on a radically invalid notion that you can translate percentage profit into a time duration and have it mean anything at all. Kind of like not working hard for the first third of your day because all the money from that third of the day is going to the tax man. Stupid.
Anyway, stores have sales that day and stupid people wait for hours to take advantage of them.

I've been using a Penryn MacBook to learn bootcamped Adobe and was planning on a MBP soon but not with I'm being offered currently by Apple. I'll wait some more for faster exo-drive connections and for whenever I need to replace my current Apple monitor for the mini DisplayPort model.
In the meantime, I'll make a go with Apple's previous offerings already in my possession and a later Black Friday.
