Issue with updating iPod nano

Hello,

I have an iPod nano that I got recently and have tried several times to update its software through iTunes and it always fails. The update is 1.1.3. Is there a know issue around this and what are my options at this point. The device still plays just fine so i am tempted to just ignore it.
