It sucks that the RSS feed is no longer the full article. That's enough to make me remove it from my list of sites to keep up with. In this day and age, I cannot understand why sites cannot provide full RSS feeds to their postings. Until MacUser changes this new policy, I'm no longer a reader.

As Jason says, we're looking at improving the RSS feeds. We're fans of full content feeds, obviously, but we also need to balance that with generating revenue and preventing ill-intentioned folks from scraping our feeds and distributing our content for their own gain. We're not doing it to be mean or to inconvenience our readers, so we hope you'll bear with us while we investigate our options.

What was the motivation for the move? I'll keep up with the stories regardless of what the URL is, but macuser.com was some homely.
Also, I know have to sign in with my Macworld ID, rather than the TypeKey one I had grown to love. Oh well! Just keep the news, humor, good writing and free stuff and I'll keep reading!

I'm happy to know the staff is looking at improving the RSS feed, and I'm puzzled that it took going live with the new one to realize what a step backwards it was. I do understand the issues at play, though. Hint: plenty of full-content feeds contain ads...
At a minimum, I'd like to see the post author name returned to the feed, even if the full content isn't restored. I'm more likely to read posts by some MacUser writers than others, and if I have to click into a headline to find out who wrote the story, I'll likely stop reading altogether.
