Touch Hack 2.0 on Mac formatted ipod?

Is there any way to get Touch Hack 2.0 (PC only) on a Mac formatted iPod 5G without re-formatting my iPod for windows. PC World mentions this hack in their April '08 issue and I would like to try it out on my iPod but it is formatted for mac. I do have XP Pro on my system via Fusion. According to my research a Windows formatted iPod can be read on a mac just like any other windows disk. My only concern is would I be able to sync my iPod in iTunes on mac if it is formatted as a PC iPod?
