i'm using iPhoto '08, version 7.1.5. (378).
i've had no problems in the past uploading photos.. after plugging in my canon camera to the mac it'll just automatically upload photos. now i have about 30 pictures on my camera that i haven't uploaded yet, taken over the course of a week. when i plug in the camera, as usual the iphoto starts up and scans the camera, but this time it says there are No Photos, meaning it doesnt detect new photos in my camera.. all my old photos are still fine and in my iphoto library. please helpp!!! thank you.

Did you try turning off iPhoto detecting duplicate files when it imports. Maybe it mistakenly thinks its already imported the photos.

Have to taken the photos out of your camera manually and then dragging them onto the iPhoto icon?

Do you have your camera naming your photos sequentially? If it starts the count over every time you format the card, it might think the new photos are photos its already imported.

Try manually importing and then let me know if it didn't work. (ericwelch@me.com)

i've tried importing the photos manually but i can't find the camera on the desktop when i do so. nothing shows up to let me import manually.. i dont see an option for turning off duplicates but i dont think thats the case because my camera has never had that kind of problem before.
